Do you have hotel recommendations?
Yes! We have arranged for 2 hotel blocks near our venue: Hilton President and Hilton Phillips. They are both within 1-2 blocks of the venue. Information on how to reserve a room under the blocks is found under the "Travel" tab. Please be sure to secure reservations before October 14th (as space allows).
You are of course also welcome to stay at one of the many fabulous Kansas City area hotels or an Airbnb of your choosing. KC offers several great options downtown or down the streetcar line toward the Country Club Plaza that would be perfect for our location.
Are kids invited?
Due to limited numbers, we hope you appreciate that children and other guests are only invited if named on your invitation and on the webpage RSVP. If allotted a "plus one", please fill in the name of your guest when completing your RSVP.
What time are the ceremony and reception?
Doors to the Midland will open at 5:00 pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm in the theatre (we recommend arriving by 5:15pm so you can be seated). A cocktail hour will follow the ceremony in the lobby of the Midland from approximately 6pm-7pm. Dinner will be back in the main theatre approximately 7pm followed by dancing. Midland festivities will end at 11pm.
Where do I park for the ceremony/reception?
The ceremony and reception are both at the Midland Theatre (1228 Main St, KCMO). Please indicate when RSVPing if you will be driving to the ceremony and will need a parking voucher for a nearby garage. Only one name needs to indicate the need for a parking voucher on the RSVP (unless you will be taking more than one car). Parking vouchers will be provided at the Midland Theatre during the event for those who have indicated a need for one. We will add details for which garage to park in as we get closer to the event date. If you will be staying in one of the host hotels, please indicate "No" on your RSVP as the garages are of approximate equal distance as the hotels. The Midland Theatre is also one block south of the Metro Center stop or one block north of the Power & Light stop on the KC Streetcar. The streetcar runs until 1 am on the weekends.
Is there a dress code?
We recommend cocktail attire. And your best dancing shoes!
